Comment by it was very hard for me to find the basement, the enterance is on the right side under the stairs that lead upstairs. Comment by The bastard knocked me back behind the iron maiden in the corner and caused me to be stuck, so I got owned quickly.
You may want to be wary of that and position your back so that you don't go directly into the corner if that's possible. It may have been a fluke, I don't know. Comment by Doktordeath Its bugged for me, even if im in the magic shell i get raped within 5 seconds. What i did to finish it anyway is getting my pet agro on highlord first.
My pet didnt die so easy so i was able to nuke highlord. Comment by Dragnis If you doing this quest I suggest be prepared. Use your other toon and send to your Deathknight: food with buffs, Glyphs, Sharpening stone, potions, and elixers.
You can use 2 Major and minor glyph make use of it. On fight for this quest there is 3 waves and then High Inquisitor. The quest itself is located in the basement of the building. There is one guard on that floor. I suggest you kill it near the end of the steps so you can use it's body later.
After killing that soldier heal up and buff up. Afterwards start the quest and he will make a dome and it will grant you some protection from spell. You need to kill the waves pretty fast or they will be more then you can handle. I suggest you go ahead outside of bubble and kill 1st wave as fast as possible and use a potion to recover hp.
If you kill fast enough there is a 4 sec delay and by that time High Inquisitor pops you will be able use another potion. The 2nd one stay inside bubble and kill the one near the bubble. Then let the other cast and jump outside kill them as quickly as possible.
K last wave remember that boby we left by the stairs use corpse explosion when you can and deal them off swiftly. Run back to bubble heal "bandages" and Death Grip High Inquisitor in bubble.
Kill inside bubble if you can. If Death grip doesn't work you can still cast a few spells inside bubble and he stop casting after cast and you go out to attack then run back in when he starts again. Potion should be back up so use that if you need too. Hope this helps this everyone in beating him. Comment by Im a Night elf and i had very low health so i used Shadowmeld the guy said: Coward! Then he run away, i dont know how to kill him now and he wont spawn anywhere.
Comment by One of the worst quest. The room is way too small, you can't zoom out very much. Half the time I was trying to select one of the ennemies, I clicked on the demon hunter and it opened a quest window. The quest is completly unbalenced, the first few mobs have few health points, while the inquisitor deals a lot of damage and takes a while to be killed. Comment by Noromis Soloed the quest with my dk after four tries. Just stay at the edge of the bubble at all times and you should be fine had to learn that the hard way.
Comment by sjackson Tried on one server with a human dk, specced as blood, solo'ed quite easily, on second server, rolled an undead and was constantly pwned Comment by Boarwood I had a few of these in junior high. Comment by What if the guy fell and there is no bubble. Comment by Read the comments before. Just wait for the NPC to respawn. Comment by This quest sucks! If you die, be ready for a loooong wait before everything comes back to normal, so make sure to NEVER stand outside the bubble if you dont want to get really bored im actually writing this while wating for the repawn.
Comment by Also, if you decide to shadowmeld when High Inquisitor Valroth comes down to the basement, he will reset and you will have to wait for Koltira to die and respawn on bench to restart quest. Comment by Protip: When Koltira says he'll draw their fire, he means, "Just keep running, and hopefully they won't get to you in time.
Be prepared to stop and kill them, unless you have a party. Comment by Mrpebbles65 Make sure to note that when he says he will take the fire, he won't. You'll only end up being attacked by about 20 guys. Haha basically what Skarthe just said. Comment by This one I had trouble pulling him in to the bubble.
Just stay inside and every time the cooldown is up try it again. I got him by pulling him in the exact same time that he pushed me back. Once he is in the bubble his push back attack will still work so just run back as fast as you can then keep going.
Have at least one of the potions from the couldron it will only work once because the cooldown doesn't start until you are out combat. Hope this helps! Comment by Artora For the people who want to look like Koltira, he wears full Trial of The Crusader plate dps gear Comment by Firstly, The exact same thing happened to me, it is not a fluke, definitely a positioning bug.
Stand with your back to the other wall so that the Highlord's knockback doesn't trap you. Also, The Death Grip issue is not resolved by using it before his first spell - because they are "holy", they have a strong chance of resisting your Death Grip.
It works about 1 time out of 10, so if it happened for you before his first cast, it was probably just luck. I died 10 or more times before completing this quest. It is really just luck, because the outcome revolves around whether or not you manage to pull him into the Anti-Magic zone.
If you do not, he will nuke you - his hits hit for even in the zone. Also, the odds are thrown by positioning problems. I found that in some positions, it took longer for the Anti-Magic buff to reappear after a knockback. I found that the best position once you have pulled him successfully to recover from his knockbacks was immediatly go behind him so you are facing the wall that you previously had your back to.
Also, try to push him right to the edge of the zone, because if you push him far enough, his knockbacks will knock you only just from the zone. Providing that you immdeiatly step back inside, you should not have time to debuff.
This is a BIG timewaster - You want to finish the start area quickly! Potions also give you a second chance. This quest is hard, no matter what people say, and it is just about as much down to luck as anything else.
I hope the strategies and bug warning are useful though :D Luthaz, Hellfire. Comment by I have been trying to do this and everytime i tried i died :. If anyone has a DK on Medivh can you help me please? Comment by i hate this quest i really do. Comment by lemele Did this on a Blood Elf specced Unholy. I didn't the first time, and died haha. But the second time it was a breeze. Lost virtually no health. And yeah, a bit of wait time if you do die, you have to abandon the quest and wait for the giver to die and respawn.
Comment by safetydance Keep your ghoul outside at the bottom of the stairs. Use underneath the stairs for LOS, pop out enough to get them to cast on you and go back.
